Job Description: The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private:sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets.
: Responsible for expediting permanent plant bulk material and equipment.
: Contact suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data, production schedules and progress reports as required.
: Evaluate production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if their programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements.
: Coordinate with Buyers/Subcontract Administrators (SA) and Subcontract Technical Representatives (STR) to establish priorities, sequences and required delivery dates.
: Expedite engineering for timely review, approval and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers.
: Maintain a working file of expediting related documents and memoranda of conversations to record expediting activities.
: Obtain copies of suppliers orders for material, perform sub:supplier expediting when required and work closely with supplier Quality Representatives to ensure awareness of material subject to quality performance and their locations of manufacturer.
: Utilize and maintain current copies of the suppliers submittal records to ensure documentation deliverables are received as required by the subcontract requirements.
: Monitor documentation reports; work with STRs and Document Control to resolve any issues to ensure accurate record submittals.
: Keep all delivery dates and notes current in procurement operating system to ensure the latest information available to other project personnel.
: Make timely distribution of all delivery schedules to the appropriate personnel, notify management of any issues and offer appropriate resolution to potential problems.
: Experience in expediting for a major industrial construction project. (5 to 10 years)
: Self starter, work well in fast paced environment, along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
: Extremely detail oriented and organized and proficient in creating organizational systems.
: Professional and takes a proactive approach to projects.
: Able to work well in a team environment, coordinating work flow closely with others.
: Self starter capable of managing multiple projects and meeting critical internal and external deadlines.
: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Documentum.
MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTIAN A DOE SECURITY CLEARANCE
Background and experience in expediting on a NQA:1, U.S. Government projects a plus.
